Omnia invites South African students to apply for Bursary Programme 2024

Bursary Application Closing date is 15 January 2024

Omnia is offering bursaries to South African citizens interested in pursuing studies in STEM-related qualifications at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The following fields of study are preferred:

Agronomy/Agricultural Science
Chemical Engineering
Chemistry
Civil Engineering
Computer Science
Data Science – Mathematics
Electrical Engineering/Electronic Engineering
Environmental Science
Industrial Engineering
Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronic Engineering
Metallurgy
Microbiology/Metabolomics
Mining Engineering
Soil Science
Expenses Covered: The bursary will cover tuition fees, textbooks, accommodation (in residence or accredited accommodation), meals, and a transport allowance (for students living at home).

Eligibility Requirements:

South African citizenship
Currently in Matric (in 2023) or completed Matric
Passed Mathematics and Science in Matric
Intending to study full-time toward a STEM-related qualification listed above
Pursuing Advanced Diploma, BTech, Degree, Honours, Masters, or PhD in 2024
Strong academic record with a minimum overall average of 65%
Studying at a DHET and SAQA registered public tertiary institution

Required Documents (Certified Copies):

ID document
For Matric students: Grade 11 final results, Matric term 2 report
Gap year students: Grade 11 final results, Matric certificate
Current students: Proof of 2023 registration, academic transcripts
Proof of acceptance/provisional acceptance for 2024
Statement explaining your field of study choice and future plans
Curriculum Vitae
Parent/guardian ID documents/death certificates
Department of Labour Employment Equity Act (EEA1) Form and Doctors’ Letter if disabled
Bursary agreement/letter if receiving other funding or NSFAS
Ensure all documents are certified within the last three months.
