General Assistant :Cashbuild in Botshabelo is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Assistant to join their team. This role is pivotal in providing outstanding customer service, managing stock, and maintaining store presentation.
General Assistant :Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet customers and identify their needs.
- Offer accurate product advice and assist with inquiries.
- Handle customer complaints promptly.
- Promote related products to enhance sales.
- Ensure efficient and careful loading of customer purchases.
- Inform customers about additional services (delivery, bulk deposits, etc.).
- Maintain product knowledge and aisle availability.

Housekeeping:
- Keep aisles obstacle-free and stock merchandise immediately.
- Label shelves accurately.
- Complete checklists, including canteen and restroom schedules.
Safety (OHSA) Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations and ensure the safety of customers and staff.
- Report any safety discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Readiness and Loss Prevention:
- Follow Cashbuild’s operational guidelines.
- Identify gaps in displays and report concerns.
- Be vigilant and report suspicious behavior.
- Ensure proof of purchase before loading products for customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or at least one year of relevant work experience.
- Effective communication skills in English and the local language.
- Basic calculation proficiency.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure.
