November Child Grant Payments Schedule
The grant disbursement schedule for November varies as follows:
- Elderly and Pensioners – Disbursed on November 2nd (Thursday)
- Disability Grant – Disbursed on November 3rd (Friday)
- Child Grants – Scheduled for November 6th (Monday) – An important note: No grants are distributed over the weekend.

Financial Management Reminder
SASSA advises beneficiaries to manage their funds wisely, emphasizing that there’s no urgency to withdraw the funds on the day of payment, as the money will remain in their accounts until required.
Extension of SRD R350 for Another Year
During the Midterm Budget Policy Statement, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced a pivotal extension of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. Initially launched in May 2020 to aid struggling households during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the grant was set to expire in March 2024.

However, an additional R34 billion has been allocated to extend the program until 2025, marking a critical extension to provide continued support to vulnerable households across South Africa. This extension ensures that the much-needed financial aid will be available for an additional year beyond the initially planned expiration date.
