What Is the Human Settlement Programme?
The Human Settlement Programme is a government-led initiative focused on providing subsidised housing to South Africans who meet specific criteria. The goal is not just to offer shelter but to promote integrated and sustainable human settlements that support social and economic development.
Subsidies under this programme ease the financial pressure of owning or renting a home, especially for individuals and families who cannot afford housing through the conventional market.
