Mogale City Local Municipality invites applications from qualified candidates for the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) positions of General Worker and Library Assistant. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience and contribute to the community.

Position Details

1. EPWP Library Assistant

  • Division: Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation
  • Sub-division: Library Services
  • Location: Ethembalethu Modular Library
  • Duration: 6 months (non-renewable)
  • Salary: R3,000.00 per month

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
  • Computer literacy

  • Administer library stock and statistics
  • Facilitate access to computers and manage library collections
  • Organize community outreach programs and handle inter-library administration

2. EPWP General Worker

  • Division: Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation
  • Sub-division: Library Services
  • Location: Ethembalethu Modular Library
  • Duration: 6 months (non-renewable)
  • Salary: R3,000.00 per month

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
  • Computer literacy

  • Hygiene consciousness
  • Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate initiative
  • Self-discipline and ability to work under pressure
  • Capability to work independently with honesty and integrity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean the office, kitchen, guardroom, and sanitize restrooms
  • Maintain the garden and manage waste disposal
  • Report any broken equipment and tools

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit an application letter specifying the post applied for, accompanied by:

  • A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Certified copies of the ID and qualification certificates
  • An original stamped letter from the Ward Councillor confirming residency in the local area
