Duties and Responsibilities

- Compile and Capture Journals: Accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Allocation of SCOA Codes: Ensuring funds are allocated correctly.
- Reconciliation of BAS/SAP, MEDSAS/BAS, and PERSAL/BAS: Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Processing Sundry Payments: Utilizing e-invoicing for efficient transactions.
- Updating Commitment Register: Keeping track of financial commitments.
- Reconciliation of Suppliers Statements: Ensuring accurate supplier records.
- Billing and Submission of Accounts: Timely billing and account submissions.
- Tracing of Outstanding Debts: Resolving outstanding financial obligations.
- Capturing of EFT Payments: Using PAAB/SAP HIS system for electronic payments.
- Perform Sub-Cashier’s Functions: Handling cash transactions within the hospital.
- Capture Manual Receipts: When systems are offline, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Submission of Monthly Reports: Providing accurate financial reports to head office.
- Other Duties: As delegated by supervisor, ensuring smooth financial operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate or Equivalent.
- National Diploma in Finance Management (or equivalent – advantageous).
- Experience in Hospital Finance Environment.
- Understanding of Public Service Legislative Framework.
- Knowledge of SAP – HIS System, BAS, PAAB/MEDICOM (advantageous).
- Good Communication Skills (verbal, written, reporting).
- Computer Literacy and Ability to Work Under Pressure.
