About the General Worker Job Vacancy 2024
Unitrans is offering an exciting opportunity for South African citizens to join as General Workers within the Consumer Business Unit. As a General Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily operations, ensuring products are handled efficiently and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities of a General Worker
- Follow instructions from supervisors
- Offload various products, including frozen goods and pallets
- Organize and stack goods neatly
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities and handle electrical cables
- Uphold company reputation in customer interactions
- Assist drivers with vehicle maneuvers
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Attend to client needs and procedures
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 qualification
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery
- Clear medical record
- No criminal history
- Physically fit for repetitive tasks (standing, bending, lifting)
