Key Responsibilities: The Music & Programming Intern will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing and selecting music video content for TRACE urban, TRACE Africa & TRACE gospel.
  • Help allocate music to different chart shows for the TRACE channels.
  • Update the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) for all TRACE channels.
  • Assist with the moderation of TRACE’s shows.
  • Perform daily administrative duties.

Qualifications: To be eligible for this internship, candidates should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A degree in Media/Film and television.
  • Prior experience in the music industry (e.g., record label, radio) or media is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and G-suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for music (African and international).
  • Awareness of the local music scene and artists.
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressured environment with tight deadlines and turnaround times.
