POSTS: SOLAR PV INSTALLER X100

• Salary: R 4,000.00 per month – Stipend

BENEFITS:

The candidate will receive a South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) PV Green card Solar Accreditation at the end of the training. This will enable the accredited solar PV installer to be recognised in accordance with industry standards.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This is an opportunity for young South Africans to gain skills, and work experience, and make a difference in the renewable energy sector.

• 100 youth candidates who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET) aged between 18-35 will be given an opportunity to upskill and be technically trained to become qualified Solar Installation Practitioners. The first cohort will consist of 35 candidates to commence the programme.
• The candidates will gain the necessary skills to install solar PV systems, conduct site visits, designing and commissioning of such systems, and acquiring knowledge of the regulatory framework within the solar energy space.
• A Work Readiness Programme will be offered to prepare these 100 Youth candidates to gain vital personal skills required to enter the workforce and retain employment.
• Each candidate will be secured a job placement, and a monthly stipend will be paid to the candidate for the duration of the training programme.

ROLE REQUIREMENT:

• Must be a South African;
• Must be between the age of 18-35 years;
• NQF Level 4/ Matric Equivalent Certificate;
• N1-N6 and NCV Level 4 Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage;
• Wiremans License P1 + P2 will be an added advantage;
• Not in employment, education, or training (NEET);
• No criminal record;
• Physically fit, with satisfactory medical record;
• Interest in Renewable Energy and Sustainability;
• willingness to learn and work hard.
