If you are an SASSA beneficiary who previously received the COVID-19 SRD R350 grant from the Post Office, please be aware that the grant is no longer being issued from SA Post Office branches. If you are still eligible for the grant, you need to look for other options to receive your SASSA SRD R350 payment.
SASSA SRD R350 can be collected using the following methods:
All beneficiaries are encouraged to use the alternative payment methods made available by SASSA.
Payment options for applicants/beneficiaries with a “approved” status and a payment date have been expanded. The grant is now available for collection at the following merchants/retail outlets:
- Boxer
- Checkers
- Usave
- Shoprite
- Pick ‘n Pay
Beneficiaries must bring their Identity Documents (ID) and the cell phone number they used when applying for the grant on the system to the above-mentioned retail outlets. That number would have received a withdrawal confirmation message.
There are other payment options available:
Alternatively, all SASSA SRD R350 grant applicants are encouraged to update their information on the system in order to have the funds paid into their personal bank account, as this is the safest and most convenient way to receive the grant. You can obtain an R350 grant from an ATM by requesting a money transfer to your bank account. To do so, go to the payment details section of the official SASSA website and enter your bank information. Once the payment has been transferred, you can cash it at any time by using an ATM.
When can I expect my payment?
The majority of people who reapplied for the SASSA SRD R350 grant in April have yet to receive their payment. SASSA has stated that payments will begin in mid-June.
