The Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) is recruiting a Professional Research Nurse. The Professional Research Nurse will be responsible for working on interventions under the HIV prevention programme including the PrEP study, this include delivering sexual and reproductive health and antiretroviral based HIV prevention, screening of TB, condom promotion distribution and referrals into other relevant facilities within the KZN province. This will be done under the guidance of the PI, project manager, and project Coordinator.
Overview of Duties
- To actively participate and supervise the screening, recruitment, enrolling, completion of sample collection, data collection and clinical management of study participants for different HIV prevention programme studies.
- Implementation of HIV prevention programme studies protocols.
- Supervision of clinic research assistants and administration of collected data.
- Collection of specimens from research participants.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team and with DOH Staff to ensure good partnership between AHRI and DOH.
- Carry out any other Duties as directed by the line manager.
