Job Purpose and Core Responsibilities
As a Picker Packer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our order fulfillment process. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Picking and Packing Products: Accurately selecting and packing products based on customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Organizing products, ensuring correct rotation, and maintaining up-to-date inventory records.
- Order Accuracy: Ensuring all orders meet customer specifications.
- Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Educational Requirement: A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification.
- Warehouse Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is highly advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Experience using scanners and other warehouse equipment.
Core Responsibilities in Detail
- Timely Put-Away and Picking of Cargo: Ensure all cargo is correctly put away and picked promptly.
- Picking and Binning Using Scanners: Utilize scanners to accurately pick and bin orders, minimizing errors.
- Ensuring Correct Cargo for Dispatch: Verify that all cargo is ready for dispatch, ensuring accuracy.
- Conducting Physical Stock Counts: Regularly tally inward cargo to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Re-Palletizing of Cargo: Efficiently and securely re-palletize cargo for transport.
- Loading and Off-Loading Vehicles: Assist in loading and off-loading road vehicles and containers.
- Maintaining Housekeeping Standards: Conduct regular housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
- SHEQ Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards, including 5S activities.
