PEP Stores invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the Planning Graduate Internship Programme 2023 / 2024.

Role Overview:
This graduate programme targets business or science graduates aspiring for a career in retail planning. It offers exposure to diverse areas within retail, emphasizing problem-solving, numerical analysis, people skills, and adaptability. Successful candidates will broaden their business knowledge, skills, and retail expertise.
Programme Outline:
Participants will be exposed to various facets of retail planning, including:
- Planning stock needs to achieve turnover targets
- Ensuring profitability goals are met
- Calculating stock and sales budgets/projections
- Managing stock holdings and aging
- Planning production based on sales and stock requirements
- Ensuring timely delivery of local and imported orders
- Adapting strategies based on market changes
- Analyzing historical trends and forecasting future needs
- Implementing analytical measures in business processes
- Determining sales forecasts and their impact on key performance indicators
- Conducting store visits and providing support
Job Incumbent Requirements:
Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, or Business Management
- Attainment of a 65% average
- South African citizenship
- Age between 18 and 33
- 0-1 year of working experience
- Willingness to travel
- Driver’s license (preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills (Google Suite or Microsoft Office)
- Competencies: Analytical, systematic, detail-oriented, assertive, driven, excellent communication and time management skills, good presentation skills, team player, ability to cope with stress, and proactive initiative-taking.
