This opportunity extends to all learners seeking entry into the post-school system, particularly those lacking financial assistance to further their studies.

The application window, spanning from November 21, 2023, to January 31, 2024, aims to streamline decision-making processes, aligning with the financial eligibility assessment dependent on updated South African Revenue Service (SARS) information.

“NSFAS is awaiting SARS completion of its tax period to ensure updated information availability during our application season,” states the NSFAS statement. Excitingly, the 2024 application period introduces new features, including the NSFAS mobile application available on iOS, Android, and later on HUAWEI devices. The app, to be enhanced with biometric capabilities, offers students the convenience of tracking application statuses and funding through WhatsApp and USSD.
