Key Responsibilities
- Remain up to date with SHE procedures
- Implement the Komatsu Way and adhere to SHE policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with wearing protective gear and clothing, and instruct colleagues accordingly
- Participate in workplace safety events and stay informed about emergency procedures
- Safely operate company vehicles and implement safety awareness in all activities
- Report hazardous situations, incidents, or accidents promptly
- Understand instructions and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Familiarity with Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Wash and clean components, machines, and tools
- Safely handle and store solvents and hazardous materials
- Monitor stock levels and report any issues or requirements promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of premises, tools, vehicles, and equipment
- Perform sweeping tasks in work areas and yards
- Ensure cleanliness of recreational areas like tea/coffee stations
- Monitor stock levels of disposable items and initiate orders for replenishment
- Comply with Komatsu 5s policy and PPE standards
- Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately
Requirements
QUALIFICATION
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
EXPERIENCE
- 6 months general workshop/technical environment experience
