Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and professional telephone assistance to patients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Guide patients through accurate form completion, adhering to internal protocols.
- Manage the patient reception process, including bookings, arrivals, and payments.
- Direct customers to appropriate services and professionals.
- Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with POPIA regulations.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Follow emergency protocols, directing urgent cases to the nurse’s station.
- Assist patients with basic account inquiries and escalate complex matters.
- Collect co-payments and balances per Intercare policies.
- Adhere to daily cash-up and banking procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12.
- Advantageous: Previous customer service experience, particularly in reception roles.
- Proficiency in using computers.
- Familiarity with the GoodX system is a plus.
