Job Vacancy Details: HR Practitioner Vacancy
Position: HR Practitioner: Human Resource Administration (Ref No: HRP: HRA) Salary: Competitive annual package of R294,321 Location: Pretoria
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF6) in Human Resource Management/Development, Public Administration, Public Management, or related HR qualification recognized by SAQA.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resource Management.
- Proficiency in the Personnel Salary system (PERSAL).
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
- PERSAL training (Introduction/Leave/Personnel Administration) would be advantageous.
- Skills in Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Citizen Service Orientation, Organizational Communication Effectiveness, Problem-solving, Planning, Organizing, and Technical Proficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the implementation of HR policies, strategies, and plans.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing existing policies, systems, and processes in areas like Recruitment and Selection, Appointments, Transfers, Promotions, Terminations, Employee Service Benefits, and Leave Administration.
- Develop standardized templates, schedules, and registers to facilitate implementation.
- Conduct research and provide insights on emerging trends.
- Conduct awareness, advocacy, and training related to HR administration.
- Implement and maintain efficient systems and procedures.
Key Duties:
- Oversee Recruitment and Selection Processes, including application screening, shortlisting, interviews, verification, and record-keeping.
- Administer employee service benefits such as allowances, overtime, pension, medical aid, and more.
- Manage Leave Administration through PERSAL, including capturing and updating leave applications.
- Maintain HR systems, databases, and filing systems.
- Compile regular reports and engage with stakeholders, clients, and management.
- Draft correspondence, memos, reports, and presentations.
- Provide procedural and technical guidance on HR policies and matters to ensure compliance.
- Participate in awareness workshops and formal presentations.
- Offer logistical support for meetings and events.
