Key Responsibilities: Field Worker
- Identify and map clinics for recruitment purposes.
- Foster positive relationships with local clinic staff.
- Efficiently schedule appointments.
- Collect and accurately record data in alignment with study protocols.
- Execute study-related duties as per protocol specifications.
- Ensure adherence to study-specific standard operating procedures.
- Complete necessary case report forms.
- Maintain regular communication with the study coordinator and principal investigator.
- Organize and file results and study documents systematically.
- Input study data into systems like REDCap.
- Provide comprehensive written reports to the study coordinator.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Facilitate transportation of staff, documents, and materials between local clinics and the site.
- Carry out essential fieldwork activities.
- Support the research team with various tasks.
Requirements:
- High School Matric qualification.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in research or clinical fields.
- 1 year of research data collection experience.
- Ability to excel in a complex and demanding environment.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- NQF3 qualification with a health focus.
- Flexibility to work on Saturdays if needed.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Self-disciplined and organized.
- Effective time management.
- Proficient administrative capabilities.
- Demonstrated adherence to research and GCP practices.
