Position Details:Farm Aid Position
- Position: Farm Aid (REF NO: 3/2/1/2023/538)
- Directorate: Genetic Resources
- Location: Gauteng (Roodeplaat)
- Salary: R125 373 per annum (Level 02)
Requirements:
- Qualifications: NQF Level 1 or 2 (Adult Basic Education and Training Level 2 / 3 Certificate)
- Experience: No prior experience required
- Job Knowledge: Familiarity with Farm Practices
- Skills: Basic numeracy and literacy skills, willingness to work overtime
Responsibilities: As a Farm Aid, you will be involved in various activities related to crop production and infrastructure maintenance, including:
- Irrigation of crops
- Soil cultivation and preparation
- Applying chemical crop protection
- Reaping, grading, weighing, packing, and storing farm produce
- Tending to crops, orchards, and vineyards
- Cleaning facilities and disposing of farm waste
- Maintaining equipment and infrastructure
- Firefighting and prevention
