Job Advert SummaryEduvos is seeking to employ the services of a Faculty Assistant for our Law Faculty to be based at any of our 12 national campuses across South Africa.Type of Position:PermanentThe Position:
To provide administrative support to the Law Faculty.  
Minimum RequirementsMinimum qualification:Bachelor’s degreeExperience:Entry Level positionPrevious administrative or clerical experience preferred, but not required
Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Data, documents and information management:Maintain accurate databases related to student records, faculty information, and departmental resources. · Generate reports as needed by departmental leadershipProducing – typing, filing, e-mail, binding, coping, storing and retrieving informationAssist HOP in managing follow-up emails, coordinating meetings, drafting reports, and tracking tasks assigned to the management teamMaintain organized departmental records, including student files and academic documentsUpdate “Rate my Lecturer” details per block and provide weekly feedback to management on flagged poor reviewsCoordinate the Module Wrap-Up schedule and manage MyLMS administrationCollaborate with the Content Writer (CW) and Programme Manager (PM) to keep the textbook list updated.File moderation reports in the National Assessment Office folderShare moderation files with External Moderators and follow up on the reports for PM and CW implementationEnsure that Lecturing staff’s documents are current and saved in respective foldersEnsure all Research Ethics reports are received, reviewed and stored accordinglyEnsure all student lists are updated and shared with relevant stakeholders in due course, i.e SAGE listingsEnsure central grading allocations are updated, shared and completed and that all relevant data is shared with included stakeholdersAssist in following up marks for assessments (summative and formative) from lecturersAssist PC in Planning for Lecturer recruitment, ensuring all teaching resources are in place including access to systems for lecturerDiary and meeting management and event coorditnator:Assist in organizing departmental events, workshops, seminars, etc.Coordinate logistics, including scheduling, travel agendas, minute taking, venue booking, catering, materials preparation and post meeting follow-upsDraft and distribute staff communicationsParticipate in departmental meetings, taking minutes and ensuring action items are completedMake relevant appointments, and manage scheduling and setting up of remindersStudent Support:Assist in the preparation and distribution of departmental communicationsAssist with management of RPL/ CATapplications and drafting of associated letters for sign-off by HOP/PM and file in the shared driveSystem Support:Provide technical support for faculty and students using myLMS and other departmental softwareProcess and event/activity support:Assist with the onboarding process for new faculty members, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filedSupport marketing and promotional efforts for the department
