KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensuring accurate loading of products onto trucks by verifying the correct quantity, quality, and types of items based on shipping orders and customer requirements.
• Ensuring that loaded items are properly secured and arranged to maintain stability and prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
• Overseeing the inspection, maintenance, and availability of loading equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and loading ramps, to facilitate smooth loading operations.
• Ensure availability of loading consumables such as pallet wrap, cello-tape, seals.
• Coordinating pre-loading tasks, such as organizing products and preparing necessary documentation, to streamline the loading process and minimize delays.
• Managing the orderly staging of trucks in designated areas to facilitate efficient departure schedules.
• Liaising with Inter-Branch Transfer (IBT) and retail teams to communicate loading requirements, coordinate order fulfilment, and address any issues or special instructions. Communicate daily truck ETA’s to relevant parties
• Collaborating with relevant departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinating re-loading activities if necessary to ensure accurate order fulfilment.
• Monitoring and managing key performance indicators related to outbound operations, such as loading time, truck utilization, and productivity, to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
• Tracking stock availability and promptly communicating any stock out situations to relevant teams or stakeholders to ensure timely replenishment and minimize customer disruptions.
• Establishing and fostering a safe work environment by enforcing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage and overall safety compliance.
• Operate within safety standards.
• Managing the team, including organizing daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, overseeing time and attendance, planning and managing leave, and addressing industrial relations and providing relevant coaching and training.
• Conduct team meetings.
• Monitor and contribute to the overall achievement of the team’s goals

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
