Job Purpose | To facilitate the delivery of sport and sport development through the provision of various programmes and capacity building opportunities as a value adding exercise for community development, whilst promoting a long term, active and healthy lifestyle. |
Key Responsibility Areas | Prepares and organises sport programmes. Assists the Senior Sport Officer with processing and channelling of potentially talented athletes. Facilitates sport development leadership courses, clinics, workshops and seminars. Assists with administrative and operational functions of the Department. Organises, administers and implements sport programs. Assists with the establishment of community sport forums, committees and clubs within Wards and Districts. Implements and facilitates educational and training opportunities such as practical lessons, coaching camps, courses and clinics. Assists with establishing positive partnerships between National, Provincial and Local Government Departments. Assists with promoting and marketing Recreation programs and events. Establishes a volunteer database and creates volunteer training opportunities. Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and be able to teach and coach 3 sports. This post reports to MANAGER (SPORTS AND RECREATION) |

Essential Requirements | Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Sport Management or Sport Science or any other related and equivalent qualification. Valid motor vehicle driving license 3 Years relevant experience. |
Preferred Requirements | Degree (NQF Level 7) in Sport Management or Sport science or any other related and equivalent qualification. Valid First Aid Certificate. 4 Years relevant experience. |

Overview
