DESCRIPTION
Eastern Cape’s Department of Sport Recreation Arts and Culture invites Music Producers to apply for one of the Six Grants to promote either the artist or the song(s) of the artist.
ELIGIBILITY
An eligible Music Producer must:
Be a resident of the Eastern Cape
Have been active in the Eastern Cape music scene in the year 2023/2024
Be a FULL-TIME Music Production Company based in the Eastern Cape Be willing to travel to promote one’s project
50% Grants will be awarded to Women Music Companies
Equitable Spread to all Districts of the Eastern Cape will be intentional

NOMINATION
CRITERIA
DRAC will award eight Music Excellence Acceleration Grants to eight successful applicants in two Categories.
Platinum Category
Six Grants
Each Grant will be R300,000 [Three Hundred Thousand Rand)
Gold Category
Two Grants
Each Grant will be R150,000 [One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Rand]
The successful applicant shall use the grant to promote either company’s new recordings or expose company’s music at various platforms.
The successful applicants shall use the grant to develop their brands and products.
Eastern Cape based Music Record Labels may apply for one of the eight grants.
