The South African Weather Service (SAWS) invites South African unemployed youth to apply for Learnership Programme 2024.

Learnership Location: Centurion, Gauteng

Learnership Closing Date: 28 June 2024

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) invites applications for an 18-month Work Integrated Learning Programme. This programme is aimed at TVET College learners living with a disability.

Fields of Study

  • N6 in Accounting
  • N6 in Finance
  • N6 in Administration
  • N6 in Supply Chain
  • N6 in Logistics

Positions Available:

  • 2 Positions
  • Reference: SAWS 2024

Applicant Requirements:

  • Must be a learner living with a disability.
  • Must have just completed an N6 in one of the mentioned fields.
  • Must have been unemployed for less than one year after completing N6.
  • Must have no work experience.
  • Must submit a comprehensive CV on the SAWS recruitment portal (clearly outlining ID, address, etc.).

Benefits:

  • Monthly stipend of R5500.
  • Responsible for own accommodation and transport to SAWS Centurion offices.

Important Notes:

  • SAWS is under no obligation to employ learners after the completion of the programme.
  • Previous applicants need not apply.

ABOUT SA Weather Service (SAWS)

The South African Weather Service is the meteorological service under the South African government’s Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism. SAWS is a member of the World Meteorological Organization. The SAWS traces its lineage to the Cape of Good Hope Meteorological Commission, established in October 1860.
