Sassa Grant Increases Announced for November 2023
Millions of vulnerable South Africans can breathe a sigh of relief as the value of Sassa grants has been increased, providing much-needed support for purchasing essential goods. In addition to the grant increases, Sassa has introduced new collection methods to make accessing funds easier for beneficiaries.
- Extended Validity of Sassa Cards:
To further reassure beneficiaries, Sassa has extended the validity of Sassa cards that were due to expire until the end of 2023. This means that you can continue to use your Sassa card without any worries. - Collection Options:
Sassa understands the importance of convenience and has introduced two additional collection methods for grant payments:
a) Mobile Cash Pay Points: Beneficiaries now have the option to collect their social grant payments through mobile cash pay points. Keep in mind that this collection option is only available during certain times of the grant payment cycle.
b) No Sassa Gold Card Required: Sassa has also introduced a new grant payment collection method that eliminates the need for a Sassa Gold card. To use this option, you will need to provide your Identification Document, a valid cellphone number, and your Sassa Gold card pin.
